Training Ice Standards Descriptions
Competitive Ice -
Serious training sessions for competitive/competent skaters of minimum standard NISA Level 2.
This ice is for programs,dances, jump and spin work. Talking is not permitted. Skaters must stand clear of those doing their programs and be respectful to one another.
Training Ice -
As above, but for skaters of NISA Level 1 and above.
Sessions not suitable for beginners or weak skaters.
Skaters should not come onto the ice part way through a session.
Patch Ice -
General practice sessions for skaters who are taking private lessons here at Spectrum.Some sessions have age/standard restrictions.
On weekday mornings senior skaters can use the first 45 minutes for general practice, after which they can practice spins and edge work (unless quiet)
The ice co-ordinator reserves the right to move skaters to appropriate training sessions |
