Guildford Spectrum Coaches Code of Conduct

  • Our Coaches are fully aware and support the fact that children play for pleasure and winning is only part of the fun.

  • Our Coaches are obligated to, and will keep you informed about sound coaching practices and the principles of children's growth and development.

  • Our Coaches will be reasonable in the demands on the children's time, energy and enthusiasm - they need other interests too.

  • Our Coaches will invest in the well being and the interests of your children, not their win/loss record.

  • Our Coaches will never ridicule or shout at a child for making a mistake or losing.

  • Our Coaches will teach your child to be fair and to follow the rules.

  • Our Coaches will divide their time equally between all standards of children.

  • Our Coaches will remain active members of governing bodies and specific associations relevant to your child's sport.

  • Our Coaches will ensure that your child has respect for their opponents, the officials and opposing coaches and supporters.

  • Our Coaches will follow and take advice from a professional when determining if an injured pupils ready to train or play.
